I have chronic headaches and migraines, with many ways in different places. My main migraine begins as a headache and involves the right side of my head, eye socket and eye ball. Ocassionally I will feel so much emense pressure to my right eye that I will actually pop blood vessels in my eye.
I saw a Neurologist and was prescribed Depakote ER a few months ago and ordered to take 250mg, then 500mg. I have been on 500mg for about 3 months, and I was told to go down to 250mg when I had about 10 pills left.
Depakote ER did seem to work for about 2 months. In that time span I had about 2 migraines and 2 headaches, unlike my usual headache-every-day extravaganza. With migraines almost every other day. However, recently my headaches and migraines have returned to their frequency and duration.
My neuro doesnt seem to be too concerned. Which is concerning to me. He wont even do an MRI, or any kind of test. All he has done is seen me 3 times and gave me a medication, when Id think hed atleast do some sort of brain scan.
What can I do?
