Exclamation Grant's MICKY Button needs to be checked (sometimes oozing blood)

    G'day neuro buddies.

Grant's Micky Button (PEG) has been leaking a bit lately around the sides. Small amounts of blood come out during the night leaving the stoma area quite dark (blood).

We also noticed, which we have never noticed before, that a few times there seemed to be, for want of a better term, a hissing sound coming from the PEG for a few seconds.

Without delay, this morning I phoned the PEG outreach nurse. She will visit tomorrow (that's pretty quick isn't it :), and have an evaluation to see if the PEG needs replacing.

I will let you know what happens.

I hope this doesn't get any more serious.

    Hi!

It's probably already tomorrow where you are so I hope the nurse visit is going well and she can figure out what is needed to fix it! :)
