Default I was wondering if anyone else has had their growth hormone checked?

I have numerous medical issues, I am panhypopituitary, SPMS, hydrocephalus, multiple brain surgeries and more... Well I went to my endocrinologist because even with SPMS I just felt something wasn't right... I am completely exhausted all of the time, loosing hair and tons of other symptoms... Well he did a test to check my growth hormone which obviously I have none as I have no pituitary and it was 0. I have been reading the symptoms and found that the majority of people over 30 years old are deficient... people were saying to me since I was an adult we don't need it... Wrong... it helps with healing, energy, etc... with no growth hormone we gain weight around our middle, we are more apt to have heart issues... do yourself a favor...look up the symptoms ( way to many to post) and get it checked out!

I started my Humatrope( synthetic GH) and I am hoping I get some results soon...

    Hi Connie!

That is very interesting. I am glad that you have a good doc that figured it out. Best to you and I hope it will kick in soon.

    Hi Conne,

You were lucky to get a Doctor to find this out. Now let's hope they are on the right track with medicene to help you. I had never heard of this in adults, but that doesn't mean much, there are many things that are new to me.

I hope that you will keep us posted so that we will know how much the GH helps and what symptoms it helps with.

    Lots of luck,
