    Default blood work...

Kathleen's blood work all came back normal. This was to check her cortisol, adrenal glands and antibodies. Good news but still no answers. Sunday she complained about her "cheek feels big" a lot, crying and very uncomfortable. Later Sunday she ran a temp of 101.5, she usually runs low and hardly ever has had a fever. Stayed about that till later Monday morning. She was pretty good but then started to complain about her cheek again. Cried for quite a while. Then it just went away. She did actually pinpoint it a little closer and it seemed like something was bothering her just under her jawline not actually her cheek. She hasn't complained about it since yesterday afternoon.

    Hi Mary Grace,

Sorry to hear there are no answers yet. Glad the tests were good, but it is a bummer when you almost wish something would show up to give a reason for what is going on! Has she gone to the dentist recently? Maybe wisdom molars bothering her? Does she sit good for dental xrays? It is a challenge for Caitlin, be we got some good ones when we last went to the orthodontist, crazy to see how her teeth are coming up, I worry about pain and stuff with all the crowding she has. Hope Kathleen is doing ok today!

It is wonderful news that Kathleen's test results are good! But that leaves you still scratching your head, wondering what is causing all of her pain and discomfort. And that is just so frustrating!

Lisa has a great suggestion about Kathleen's teeth causing jaw pain. You have consulted so many specialists, so a dentist might be next on the list? Is it time for her wisdom teeth to start coming in?

We're all putting on our Detective Hats!

Prayers continue for answers and solutions, and for Kathleen to be pain-free ~

Thanks Rose and Lisa, I was thinking about her wisdom teeth also, or her ears. Especially with the low fever. That's next on my list to call the dentist. She's 17 so it's entirely possible that they could be starting to come in. I'm quite sure there will not be room for them, her mouth is very tiny. she had a tooth pulled last year, they tried xrays but they didn't come out too good. Maybe we can try again and get a better look.
The endocrinologist didn't think her bulging left eye was caused by her thyroid issues. She suggested we go back to see the eye Dr. We do have a follow up in December.
Her PT has been seeing an increase in tone in her heel cord which was already tight. She gets botox in a couple weeks so we'll see if it helps this time. It hasn't the last 3 times. She's getting to school but still getting tired very quickly.
She's vey excited about Halloween! She has decided to be a WWE wrestler called Goldust.

Take a look if you don't happen to know who Goldust is...

    The costume is almost done!

Can't wait to see Kathleen in her Goldust costume! Interesting choice! Will she be going door to door or to a party?

Just wish there were answers under our Detective Hats! But we'll keep thinking!

The costume is done! She tried it on and loved it. We go back to Kathleen's elementary school for a parade every year. I also have a couple kids that I've babysat since they were babies at the school now so I try and go back to see them at the parade. Kathleen loves seeing her old teachers in fact one of them asked her to lead the parade with them. Then we have a couple friends over for dinner (making a pot of chili) and go door to door to just a few neighbors. I'll try and post a picture of her in her costume.

I always appreciate your input it helps keep my mind open and thinking...

That sounds like a fun evening! It is terribly windy here in WI today, I am so glad our trick or treat was last Saturday. We are staying home by the fire, eating Pumpkin pizzas (from papa murphy's), watching some Goosebumps videos and eating popcorn with that. :)

    Happy Halloween!

Lisa that sounds like a wonderful way to spend a cold windy night. Our weather was actually perfect for being outside. We haven't had nice weather for Halloween in a few years.

Rose Kathleen had a fantastic day. She really over did it. After the Parade she couldn't even walk to the door Dad had to carry her and she cried about her feet and tired legs. But she did go out trick r treating with our friends (another family who she absolutely loves). We had chili and snacks.
Here's a picture of one of our snacks and Kathleen's costume.

Great pictures! Big smiles! I love the throwing up pumpkin, so cute! Glad she was able to trick or treat even though she was tired out. :)
