In 2013, through your donations,*the BAF awarded the first "Maine's KAT-Walk and Karo-5K Chair of Research" in the amount of $25,000 to a doctor in Chicago doing life saving work on preventing vasospasm that often occurs after a ruptured brain aneurysm. More info at:*Research Grant

Now in its 6th*year, the KAT-Walk & Karo-5K has grown to include many families affected by brain aneurysms and this day is used to honor survivors and remember loved ones lost to this silent killer. The day starts at 11:00 a.m. with registration, family gatherings, a 50/50 raffle, face painting, and safety helmet fittings conducted by the Michael T. Goulet Foundation.
