The last time _I_ was interested in baseball, the Braves were in Milwaukee. S'truth!

Jo,glad you have good memories of childhood & baseball. now I do have a baseball cap.....it's says Seahawks tho!

in 6th grade I was in a new school, hit a home run which was a miracle. only memory I have of ever playing baseball.

I do well enough trying to learn about football with my brain. best news today: Brees is staying in New Orleans.

    Howdy Folks!

Until age 16, my uncorrected nearsightedness solicited comments like 'sh*tty mitt'; so much for a career in baseball, or as a fighter pilot. My last 2 years of HS, at 5' 10", 145 lbs, I played football for a few minutes in one game.

I have a "Big Catch" certificate from the state of Florida for Fishing, and I still play a mean game of Chess.

Reading about former Bears safety Dave Duerson's suicide and the discussion of ALL sports concussions, is a topic for another forum.

It was a "Team Effort", but I read somewhere the nation's #1 job creator last year was the Boston Red Sox.

I notice that sometimes it takes me weeks to respond. My Best, bob

good football news in today's paper-Seahawk's are keeping "Big Red". he's a 345# defensive end that made a surprise touchdown against the Bears.

Thanks Pati, that is good news. I have been hearing a lot of talk about coaches giving money to players when they HURT the opposing team player. If they hurt them bad enough they have to take the hurt player out of game, they give more money.

I thought I had had a horrible nightmare when I heard that, then I heard it again some where else!

I don't remember who the teams that did this, but it was more than one. I think that is horrible and the coaches and players that partisapated(?) should be banned from football forever!!

It rough enough as it is. I was bothered already when someone got hurt and the other players did their hi 5's and butt bumps, but this just takes the cake!

Bob, it's good to see your post even if it's now and again. I hope your health is doing as well as possible. I guess we take what we get and go on about our merry way? well something like that.

    Take care, Julia ((((Bob))))

Seahawk's have resigned Turfant. that makes me happy even though not sure he'll get to play.

Jo, the mess with the Saints is still ongoing. NFL has banned coach Payton & of course he's fighting this. yes, some other teams are involved but can't recall which ones.

it was a stupid thing to do! afterall they must have known they'd get caught? and what happens to one team can happen to their own don't ya think? the game is rough enough without paying a player to injure deliberatly(sp).

first regular season game in Seattle will be against the Titan's, my housemate is a fan of Hasselback & Locker so he's pleased. I'm just wondering who our starting QB will be?

I will watch all the preseason games cause they begin in August & I'm having football withdrawals!

Seahawks have new uniforms. gives me an excuse to get more shirts eh? rather hear we have a new coach!

now we have 3 QB's. there are so many new player's it will take me all season to figure them out. I've stopped reading the local sports columns.

Vikings are getting a new stadium whether they can afford it or not. nothing new about that. sports is more important than decent bridges I guess.

Whoooot Whooooot Another trophy in Title town. 'Way to go Donald & Pete on Dancing With The Stars! OK OK this is the first time I have ever followed this show (and only for the last 4-5 weeks) and, unless there is another Packer on it, I won't again!!! I only watched it because of the Packer player.
