I know this would humiliate him if he knew I was writing this but shortcake has been pad free for a few weeks now, his Encopresis is finally going away. He's getting feeling back in his bowels so can feel when he has to go. After all these years I was afraid he would not regain it. Must find some way to celebrate.

oven temps down south, i need to keep reminding myself that HOT HOT is better form my aching bones rather than the cold. it fails to work at times tho i remarked to hubby that people in places that usually do not get hot (or hotteer than usual) weather must be miserable. at least i am familiar with it and know just to h8bernate just as in winter but without all the extra blankets, sweaters etc. just reverse things cool drinks etc. then to be ready to wipe off wet face neck etc as soon as i step outside cause i will be as wet as if i had showered, lol not quite but it feels that way.
i hope all are coping with weather, pain, and all that goes on in daily living. take care of yourself cause yu know people care. yep even here. wink and big hug

I tell ya joy living in Michigan is no joke when you suffer from aches and pains. The weather gets funkier every year. The weather constantly changes and I feel every bit of it. And definite kudos to the man or woman that invented air conditioning. I do not do well at the heat and it seems that every year I've become more sensitive to even the lower heat temperatures.
I hope everyone is staying cool

hey all!
a WAY belated happy birthday to jingle !
of course, i have been working in my garden for several hours a day! i weeded several times, in the front yard and in the back yard. in september, i'm going to transplant several plants from the back yard to the front yard and put down some mulch so i have less weeding to do. i've had to water several times because of days of no rain. my water bill was only $5 higher this month, though. i'm also growing a small veggie garden. i have 9 tomato plants and i will prolly give away most of the tomatoes to the homeless people that i help feed in the park. i also have 2 kale plants. i made some sauteed kale, quinoa and sweet onion. it was very good. i am surprised how much sweeter fresh kale is than the stuff you buy in the store! i also gave some kale to my neighbor who puts them in smoothies. i also have some orange pepper plants growing, 3 of them and i have several little green peppers on them that will turn orange as they ripen. green peppers give me indigestion and the burpies.
i am also going out with the pookie (my bf). we've gone to a couple of concerts this month, one was peter frampton and the steve miller band and the other one was a motown revue with the stylistics, spinners, four tops and temptations. most of the original members of these groups have died, but a couple of them had one original member still there. they maintain the name of the original group and travel around the world. it was a great show. i am a motown girl and that music always makes me happy. i went to a science fair yesterday and bicycle riding earlier last week. no wonder i am so tired!
i have stopped coloring my hair, mostly because it ws getting to be a pain and my daughter couldn't come down and help me very often, it's so hard to do the back. it's a really nice white color with a little bit more gray colored hairs in the back. i have a honey tone in my complexion and i tan very easily in the summer. my face contrasts well with the white hair, so i am pretty happy with the money and time i am saving by not coloring my hair!
90 degrees today, but strangely, it's a dryish heat. not uncomfortable, just hot.
keep cool this summer, everyone. i love fall and spring the best.
thank you for sharing and caring ,

I was truly touched by such a happening. I'll remember that event forever.
