hey everyone!
so, i got through thanksgiving!
unfortunately, i pulled a muscle in my back, from the point where my neck joins my shoulder down my shoulder to my arm. i was sleeping on a heating pad set to low, (yes, i know it's dangerous, but i had to sleep!). it was a brand new heating pad, though. i was taking tramadol for pain, which has the odd effect of making me feel high instead of tired. it does take away the pain, though. i pulled this muscle at zumba class doing one of these flailing arm moves. now that i am back at zumba, i am modifying that move. so, for 5 days, i limited myself to light house work. from saturday until the day before thanksgiving, i was a whirlwind. i cleaned 8 hours a day. thankfully i had no work outside. my daughter and her bofriend spent thanksgiving day with me and they went home on monday evening.
it finally got cold here. we had a couple of upper 50's days and then the cold blew in, literally. i raked the leaves i couldn't bag. it had rained a lot and once the leaves get wet, i can't put them through my shredder and i missed the last day of yard waste pick-up for the season by detroit's waste removal company. so i piled all the leaves in the garden and hope they will decompose a bit before next spring, then i can till them into my garden.
i see a few upper 40 degree days coming, so i will dig an outline of the area i want my veggie garden to be next year. there are a few things left to clean up and hopefully i can do that, too.
so, life goes on. i am upset about the election. there is a thread in the Multiple Sclerosis forum named "Politics" and people are venting there. i did, too.
dawn, i'm hoping you're feeling better now and that people are doing some things for themselves.
jingle, i love to talk on the phone, but not many people do. if i want to talk to someone, i'd rather phone then email. of course, some people are just too busy or use email as their primary means of communicating. it's just a personal preference and i don't mind communicating through email if that's the only way i can...it's better than not communicating!
clouds, i think the internet is a mix of good and bad. we wouldn't have bt if there weren't an internet. but then there's the problems with it that you mentioned.
sly, it's so nice having you check in! i wish some other people from the past would check in, too! it was a good group we had here for a long time! i miss everyone!.
stay warm and make your holiday's meaningful for you!
thank you for sharing and caring,
jeannie
