Well I certainly have good news! My # 2 son had the surgery, it wasn't malignant! They still were puzzled as to what it was so they just removed it and will watch and make sure it doesn't change! Harvey and I are very close and he had been coming over to be with me while I was recouping. It has upset me because I haven't been able to go stay with him. His wife went back to work, but he insist he is ok to stay by himself. Ken has been going down and checking on him. He has been so good to me, helping and encouraging me. I'm so thankful his surgery went well. He has a few other things wrong, but I know he will do what the Dr. says. He is like his Mama. Can't stand to go to Drs. lol Thanks to all for the prayers and warm thoughts. They have meant a lot to me.

Pati, it sounds like you are still working on getting better. I know it will take a long time, but I see progress in your typing and the things you say! I know I live on the east coast and you live on the west coast(?) yea I'm still saying WAY TO GO SEAHAWKS!!

I have been a Seahawks fan since my baby was just getting into sports. He is in his forties and don't like me saying it, but that's ok! I'm going to order him some things. I knew Pati was a fan, but I didn't know if Clouds z was or not. I just hope they win the Super Bowl!!

Sly, it's good to see you post, but I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. Keep your chin up and I'll say some prayers for you. It's hard when things get hard. Things seem to get going down hill and not stop. Just trust and like Dawn said, come here, that's what this forum is for. Many times I have just dumped out my problems ((((Sly))))

Joy, cheer up, snuggle up and sleep your little heart out. I would love to have some of your sleep. I'm going thru some sleepless time and it's no fun to lay there and try to sleep, but also try to solve everybody's problem's.

Dawn, I enjoy hearing about your daughters weddings. When I had the Catering Shop I did a lot of weddings. I truly did enjoy doing them. So, tell us how it's going. I was in the hospital when your other daughter was getting married. Did you post any pictures?

I see many are missing. DeeDee, Jeannie, Marion, and many more. I've been missing, but this time I stopped at the ER and spent the day and most the night. I was glad I didn't have to stay. I'm feeling a bit better, thank the Lord.

I hope all are well and happy. I love you all, Julia or Jo to all

Jo, that's great news about your son. I'm so happy for your family. Now you just get better.

I've been busy with the wedding of my youngest daughter. With only five months to plan it gets hard trying to find people who are open for that date. We have found vendors who thank goodness had that date open. It's only a very small wedding of about 50. She only wanted family and their friends there.

We go to vegas in febraury. I'm excited because my oldest and her husband are flying down there to meet us. It should be fun. I don't gamble but I love people watching and walking thru the different casinos. We stay on the strip and that's where all the fancy ones are.

I hope other people check in soon. Like joy I do miss reading how everyone is doing.
    Take care,
    Dawn

well here I am. that dratteed sign you have posted one post an have to wait until 1 minute is up to post again - well t annoys me to death days like today. sheesh I cannot stand waiting until the minute is up, lol.
so I went back to kitchen for a golass of water and now need to go back and see just what I was going to reply to.

naw just kidding, I do remember what but yes I was annoyed. anywwy I sure hope you all can make out my typing. Jo I am so happy that the te4sts were okay for your son. that was an awful scare for you I am sure.i have been just a bunle of nerves because of donna not doing so well with her cancer. I am about as bad a shape mental wise as I was way back when my daddy had cancer. it just stays with you I can tell you. and I coud not even call without wanting to cry. which is a no-no with her. so I have hubby call her husband and then I talk to donna. at least I did not break down and cry on the phone with her. we have been staying away because once she got out of hospital they let her go home but she has to wear a mask. I know that means her reistance is so low. anyway keep her in your prayers everyone.

marion I am sorry you are down. wish we could be together and do ourlousy days together. I know that wouod cheer me up. boy I am so glad you birds broken leg is better. how on earth did that happen, or do you know?

the sun is shining on snow today. school is out again. and once again there is not either grandchild here to play in yhe snow. I do admit that there was the last snow we had and I felt so bad I edid not even go out any while he was playing with pappy. we have the metal type sleds from when our kids were little but I saw the plastic round kind after the last snow and insisted that we buy 2 of the plastic ones. that kind works better in some type of snow, sleet combinations. so at least I aqm prepared, just no kids, lol.

I wish Christina wouold stick her head in and say hi to us. drat it all I do not have her address or anything. once she moved into her mothers house I did not get the address for some reason. well gotta get up and move and see if I can get myself loosened up enough to move, lol. take care all. pati I hope you post soon.

hello Joy, Dawn, Clouds and all others I have named. It looks like we will get some more bad weather. I would get all bundled up and sleep until spring.

Son Harvey took me to see my little bundle of joy I didn't get to see Christmas cause she was in the hospital. My heart just melted when she looked up and started saying grannie, grannie, grannie!! Just because her mama and daddy can't get along don't mean I can't still be her grannie! She made that clear to everybody else!! Made my heart happy

I've got to go get a bone scan done Thursday. Then I have a bunch of other things the Dr. wants done. I am down right unhappy to say the least. Maybe they will all come back with right colors! I'm scared, that is for sure. Please say a few prayers for me.

Well, hope all will stay warm and not have too much snow, wind and ice .

    My love to all, Julia

dear Julia I will have you in my thoughts and prayers for sure. I hope the tests do not turn up anything. I mean hope you get a clean bill of health except for the usual things that our bodies go through as we get older. boy hiddie that is enough right there.

aw I can picture you with that sweet baby. aw how jealous I couold get, lol. I think I was short changed with only 2 grandkids, lol. but of course I wouldn't trade them in for anything. the girl is getting old enough at 14 that she finds other things she likes to do with kids her age. so I do not see her as much as I use to. but the boy is still pappys number one helper. lol he loves to follow his pappy around for sure.

I hope this bad weather is not making it to difficult for your driver Julia. hubby just about is staying home. he is coming down with a cold. and since there have been so many deaths from cold and flu I think I will just stay inside myself and not stick myself out any. donna is having to wear masks to go to doctor, poor woman does not need any germs to g with her cancer.

well I know all this sick talk is dreary so will close . just take good care of yourselves people. ok? and pati I want to hear from you soon here please. I worry about you a lot.

    hey everyone !

and a big fat hello to you, too, clouds !

julia, what wonderful news about your son. our prayers were answered! it's so great that your hubby is keeping an eye out on him. hopefully when he is up to par, he'll come over more to see you.

dawn, sorry that this wedding is turning out to be harder than the last one. too much stress.

joy, things seem to be on an even keel for you...i hope it remains that way.

pati, i hope you are doing well and improving daily. yes, it is ridiculous how expensive medical care is.

well, we have had 55 inches of snow here in detroit JUST in the month of january. it was an official record. i have shovelled so much snow that there is nowhere to put it anymore. i don't mind shovelling, as it gives me some exercise. i have had sinus problems since christmas and this cold weather just makes it worse. my face hurts above the eyes and i sneeze 5 or 6 times in a row, very forcefully. my nose is constantly itching me and i have scratched it on the inside at night, which doesn't make it feel well when i blow my nose. i'm getting it under control with around the clock decongestants and my flonase prescription, but i'll feel better when the weather gets warmer.

i have about 3 feet of snow covering my garden. there are only a few plants, like my rose bush, that i can see above the snow. this is good in a way though, because the snow insulates the plants from the bitter cold and windy conditions we have also had lately. all my perennials are hardy to at least -10F, so it's only been that cold for maybe 2 days this winter. when all the snow melts it will give the plants a head start on growth, especially once it gets warm.

the dogs have cabin fever. i have only taken them out twice this winter to play fetch. each time they were SO happy! i am going to paint the two bedrooms downstairs here later this month. they will be both the same color as i am trying to save money on paint and i want them to be both the same color.

i try and read here everyday, but with my sinuses hurting, i don't feel like posting. i'll start posting more as it gets warmer. right now i am doing zumba on mondays and using a zumba dvd two times a week to exercise in the living room. i also ride my stationary bike one time a week. my upper arms have some good muscular developement from shovelling snow this winter season.

    take care of yourselves....gotta sneeze

thank you all for caring and sharing and i you all,
    jeannie

Well hello everyone, I know I do not come often but I am always thinking of all of you. My work has been crazy for the past 3 to 4 months and I have no time now to just lurk around. Today has been a quiet day so far so I decide it to stop and say hi.

We are all good, just trying to survive this cruel winter. We have not have much snow like some of you, but the cold has been as brutal here as anywhere else, the VA, DC area is suffering as much as many others, minus the snow sometimes. Even so we have had are share of snow also.

I have a little problem and would like you opinion on this matter. At my work we lost 2 employees that where with us for over 5 years, so 2 new people has been hired and are on training with me, LOL, that is part of the problem of me been so busy (forgive my spelling please). Now My managers are both Hindus (India) and they just hired 1 more person from India as well. the new lady has an smell that is very strong, and the rest of the people on the floor comes to me to tell me that they have issues with her smell, but I do not know how to approach her with such sensitive matter. And my managers do not seem to have smell it or care, they might be used to that particular smell.

My question is how do I approach the issue to her or my managers? it is something really personal and I am not the best tacked person to say something. I could offend her or have her report me for discrimination or something.

    Any ideas?
