    My cat Phoebe

My cat Phoebe died of probable cancer on August 5 at the age of almost 16. For the last 9 years she was my constant stay-at-home companion, and I miss her. Here is her memorial Webpage with a few photos:

such a regal looking cat, Phoebe. I am aching myself now just knowing how sad you must be. Pets are so good for us.

I know that you feel lucky to have had Phoebe as long as you did. I could not ever get any of my cats to live that long. I thought I took good care of them but even with that and the vet visits never could get one to live that many years.

Cats were always so peaceful and dogs were always so lively so as I got older I preferred the quiet cats who would snuggle with me. Phoebe sounds like she was the perfect pet in my opinion. I want to thank you for sharing memories and pictures of Phoebe with us.

What a beautiful kitty Thank you for sharing her story and photos.
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

      Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

          agate ,

it seems you and phoebe were fortunate to have each other! she had a personality that blended with yours.

there is always a balance between the pleasure our pets give us and the knowledge they have a short life span. it's always sad to see them at the end of their lives. i don't know if i will get another dog after my dogs die, but i said that the last time .

thank you for sharing your story of phoebe with us,
          jeannie
