    hi funnylegs ,

    personally, i can't watch anyone else who has tourette syndrome because i start to tic more than i do. i know some other people who have that prob also. thanks for the link .

        of course you didn't mean any harm :)

        there was a convention for information on tourette syndrome about 14 years ago somewhere in the usa that a lot of people who used to post in this forum attended.

        the ones who had tourette and attended said that when they were in the room with other people with ts that their own tics increased from hearing and seeing other's tics. i have some control over my tics and there are a few tricks i use to make my tics less noticeable or postpone them, so the problem isn't unusual.

        i'm sure your link is useful for parents of children that have ts and prolly the children themselves...i was just passing on an interesting fact that i knew you didn't know.

          Very interesting. I never thought about it before. It does make sense that seeing tics would increase your own tics. I recently had someone with my disability sleep over at my house and I found that I had the urge to imitate her symptoms/movements myself believe it or not. You're welcome and thanks so much for telling me!
