Default Biogen files to have Tysabri approved as first-line MS therapy

Biogen Idec is trying to get Tysabri approved as a first-line therapy. Doctors would be able to prescribe it for newly diagnosed people or for people who haven't already given the ABCRs a try. There is an article about it here.
    MS, diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009.

I am afraid Gabriella is right that it is "greed". However, I have to admit that we are forwarned that this drug can be harmful in a big time way. It is a hard decision when one doesn't have much else to count on.

Maybe. Doctors tend to push certain drugs hard and may not be aware of their own bias such as, for example, getting speaker fees from a pharma company. Doctors also tend to push pills and avoid lifestyle change recommendations. Likewise, many patients want pills and not the hard work of lifestyle changes.
