I thought October was a general "disability awareness month" Oh well. I adore that video! People with Down Syndrome are wonderful beautiful people as is your daughter. Glad they included adopted kids in the video as well

The video had me in tears. Although my son's are not diagnosed with Down Syndrome, I also could relate to every message.

October is Disability Awareness Month, and some groups choose this month to bring awareness to a particular kind of disabling condition. It's also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Love & Light,
Rose
Mom to Jon, 43, (seizure disorder; Gtube; trache; colostomy; osteoporosis; hypothyroid; enlarged prostate; assorted mysteries) and Michael, 32, (intractable seizures; Gtube), who were born with an undiagnosed progressive neuromuscular disease and courageous spirits. Our Angel Michael received his wings in 2003 and now resides in Heaven. Our Angel Jon lives at home with me and Jim, the world's most wonderful dad.
October has a list of other groups that bring awareness to the public. Rose I totaly agree that the video applies to pretty much any dissability. You can never tell what joy they will bring into your life and the lives of those around them. I've watched it several times. And by the way... my sign would say, "just wait and see... She's going to be your HERO!"
