    Default just copied the lot

    Hi,

I just copied the information from the stickies from the archives in a new thread. It worked ok......:)
I know it is not the same as having it all in a sticky at the top, but for now it is there.
All we need now is everyone back!

    Default Broken links

That's great, Anne. But most of the links have changed. Could you please edit the first section of the Newcomer sticky as follows -

    1) Replace the first link (tna-support.org) with http://www.fpa-support.org/ And the store section is currently under maintenance so just take out the part about the link to the store.

    2) Replace the last three paragraphs of that first section (the welcome part before Ella's medication part) with the following three paragraphs and links -

Be sure to visit the Useful Websites sticky thread. That has all kinds of information in it about treatments, doctors, tutorials, etc. and many of those threads may help answer your initial questions. A few websites that are especially good for newbies that describe TN and its treatments (medical and surgical) are -

    http://www.umanitoba.ca/cranial_nerv...ial/index.html

    http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/medici...gram/3742.html

Be sure to check out the interactive tutorial and the complete guide to TN in the sites above.

    http://www.uscneurosurgery.com/condi...-neuralgia.php

    http://facial-neuralgia.org/

Once you've read through some of the introductory websites above, then start a new thread introducing yourself to the family here, tell us your story and ask whatever questions you still have. You'll find lots of help and support here so welcome to the family.

    Hi Jean,

I don't seem to have the option to edit anymore. Apparently that option stops after 24 hours although that is now under review.
So I am not sure what to do about the suggested corrections.

    Take care,

    Anne

    Hi, Anne,

Yes, I attempted to post my reply in the morning, but it seemed to take a long time to actually appear. I'll ask the Mods to make the changes to the links. Since it's your post, it may be you have to make the request, but we'll see.

I just fixed the broken links. If you need help with anything else, feel free to contact me.
It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people whose posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

Thanks, Mod #5! The first (fpa-support.org) and last (facial-neuralgia.org) links are working, but the two umanitoba and the uscneurosurgery links still aren't working properly ... ??? Here they are again - just the text of the URLs -

    http://www.umanitoba.ca/cranial_nerv...ial/index.html

    http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/medici...gram/3742.html

    http://www.uscneurosurgery.com/condi...-neuralgia.php

There may be some other things we can clean up - will keep checking. Thanks much for your help!

    You're welcome.

I just redid the links, and now they're working.
