Default Glaxo Smith Kline settles suit, admits wrong doing

This case concerns the drugs Paxil, Wellbutrin and Avandia. Find it here:

I know some here have been on Paxil or Wellbutrin.

    Default Disgrace!

This is just the tip of the iceburg. How many drugs are prescribed off-label for MS? Most of the symptom management drugs are off-label. Where is the FDA's presence in this scandal? All the FDA did was put a black box warning on the Advandia that it could cause congestive heart failure. Lot of good that did the patients who had already been taking it on the advice of their doctors! How can we trust our doctors when they are being bought out by BigPharma's bribes. Can you believe this company can pay a 3 billion dollar fine from their existing cash and still stay in business? They can pay it because of the money they charge us patients for their drugs and the hugh profits they make.

This is the scenario I have been writing about for so long. I for one, am glad that this company has been exposed for the crooks they are! Now let's have an investigation of all the doctors who have been excepting these paybacks for so many years. They need to be fined, have their licenses revoked, and patients need to know who they are!

Our medical care system is badly broken, corrupted, and we need to keep politics out of the picture and just get on with the investigations.

I've given up on blaming the doctor's. I do try to educate them when appropriate. last week I told my doc how Metforim KILLS taste buds. he was shocked.DUH

as for Wellbutrin? he had RXed that to me several years ago to help stop smoking.doubt smoking had one thing to do with my depression (which he was unaware of anyways)

years ago a PA gave me Zoloft. when I complained it was making me feel suicidal she just upped the dosage! knowing what I do now I think that drug was the reason I developed severe myoclonic jerks.

drug co. rule this country. doubt we will see much change in our lifetime.

as for the FDA? I consider that place the most corrupt of any gov. agency. they are hand in hand with big pharm. they do "random" checks of the fillers India, etc puts into our drugs. crazy or what?

    just my 2 cents.Pati
