Default Has anyone heard of Polyneuropathy? Please coment if you have

Late last year I had 3 seizures & my heart stopped (I have epilepsy). I was in the hosp. for a month (I don't remember anything). They let me out & I went to a rehab. place. While there different parts of my body started hurting. Two months latter I came home. Soon I desided to see a chiropractor. She had me have a CT scan. Later the chiro. called to tell me I have polyneuropathy. I don't know anything about polyneuropathy? Can you tell me?

dear lorraine - yes, i am familiar with Poly-Neopathy - it is basicly when you have neuropathy in multiple places throughout your body. Feet,Leggs Back, anywhere where there are nerves. Common symtoms( for me at least) are burning feet, feelinglike you are walking on glass, the back pain throughout although I am also full of arthritis. Gabapenten gave me some relief but i could not tolerate the S/E , Lycra changed my whole personality and a,most brokwe me and my partner up. Clonadine, a high b/p Med is also labeled for use witn P/N -it is mildly efffective, I have read where high doses of morphine can help but in todays enviroment i doubt you could get even what i get , which is a high dose >150mg. ms contin with breakthru in addition >50mg. i seldom take it all because it makesme loopy and I will NOT drive so i live with it- I hope this helps and you get some relief.
