Clouds this is the website that the article is referring to.

    http://www.deadmansswitch.net/

I understand the thinking behind it but I don't think I could do it.

hi clouds. how are you coming along with the shingles? I know you have had a hard time and I've been concerned.

Mr. Jo came down with the Shingles about 2 weeks ago. He is still taking meds. but he seems to be going backward now.

He has a Drs. Appointment in the morning and I hope he will be about to give him something else to help him feel better.

the rash looks like it is clearing up, but each day he is dragging , not like him at all. the Dr. told him the Shingles had started with the Siactica (sp) nerve. I think I said that right. I'm just worried about him.

I have thought of you a lot and I knew you were suffering something awful. Sometimes it takes a long time to get over the Shingles.

Here's hoping you are feeling better. take care, Jo ((Cloudz))

Ooo dear, that sounds dreadful. So sorry for both of you.

PHN -- that must be what my great-aunt got from when she had shingles. It went on for over 20 years, but maybe they didn't have the meds that are available now. She couldn't tolerate her hearing aid or glasses, had to have the necklines of her shirts cut out as far as possible, and had a dark blind installed in the window of the car where she sat so the sun wouldn't touch her skin. I felt so bad for the agony she was going thru. I hope you fare much better & that it callms down quickly
