Pati I don't know why but every Marigold I ever bought has gotten eaten by a critter. I don't know if it was a skunk or raccoon but I finally quit buying them lol.

Well I have almost everything planted and a package of 4 different kind of summer bloomers arrived in the mail today. A scouts order. Get sucked in every year for someone lol. I have so many pictures of all the things I have been doing. It seems to take for ever to complete a project but it is cause I have too many going on at one time. Got most of the veggies planted. Got the rock garden just about done. Got some flower beds cleaned out but still have two to go. I will post more pics some other time.

so far my little green space men are doing the trick, watched last year's fawn go up to them & turn away. so geraniums are coming back.

wisteria, lilac & rhoddie are ready to bloom by Sunday.

sweet peas & nasturiums are up.

pink phlox is in full bloom & lily of valley is beginning to bloom.

Kinda neat but I would have prefered a dog or any kind of animal myself, LOL. Different folks, difgferent things. Must cost a pretty penny for such things. And the upkeep must be done or it would lose all its shape. Can you tell it is a dreary day here without sunshine, by my mood. It is not bothering the birds singing away tho.

Rochester's famous Lilac Festival started yesterday. People come from all over the world to see our beautiful Lilacs. They are magnificent and the aroma is heavenly. I do so wish you all could see them!

Joy those are housed in a museum somewhere I believe. I think they are pretty neat.

Fig it is good to see you here. I love lilacs and we have a small purple one. Would love to add a white one also. My lilacs are not blooming properly here and I think it because of the funky weather we had over the last couple of months. Got 90 degrees then down to 27 the next week. Altogether there are 4 large bushes that I think are not going to produce their blossoms this year.

well I'd trade the white one here for purple anyday. you have to cut off all blooms each year to get more the next year-just as a rhoddie. my lilac is loaded with blooms this year.so is the rhoddie. I cut blooms today to enjoy. I love the smell of lilacs!

hubby just bought one of those blue hydrangeas and I bought a gardina ? I think myself, a minature yellow rose and a sunflower thing with beautiful orange blossoms. It fits just perfect isnide my blue/white ocntainer I bought. I want my kitchen to be yellow when all finished and these blue/white container go beautiful with it. I have a blue cat and a small oil lamp that gave me the ideal. Our Trees & Trends has more beautiul pieces that I would buy if money was readily available.
