I'm on Lisinipril now without too many side effects so far. It's been like 2 months. I was on Metroplol for about 8 months but insisted the doc give me something else because it was burning up my insides, I was peeing blood and my kidneys hurt. That drug is visciously caustic to human tissue. I asked and asked many times for something else but I was ignored. Unless the doctor has actually taken the drug, they just think you are a complainer. I did take Atenolol for a short time but that too was a beta blocker like the Metropolol and was making my heart jump and not letting me sleep. I think for me a Calcium Channeler with a much smaller amount of beta blocker is better. A beta blocker will slow down your pulse quickly.
