    Clouds,

Fluorescents have driven me crazy since my twenties, so I'm no fan. The noise, the flickering -- ACK!

I've already gotten cataracts from taking a year of oral cortisone from my CFS doc, so that bridge has been crossed. That lead to 2 implants, 2 YAG laser surgeries, and then an "implant exchange" when one went south. It was off-center and out-of-plane so it wouldn't coordinate with my other eye & made my feel cross-eyed. I had to place my recliner at an angle to the TV set to be able to focus, & I haven't really been comfortable reading for a few years now. Just had the second YAG two months ago which did bring my vision in that eye near crystal clear, but then I stupidly went ahead with the eyelid surgery & now everything is blurry & smeary again. Plus way more pain than actual eye surgeries!

I started needing glasses for nearsightedness in fifth grade, so I have no idea how car headlights are supposed to look. Especially when you're driving a low slung car & now I live in the land of SUVs and pickup trucks.

My mom just got diagnosed with cataracts. She has it mildly. The bit about CFL's is interesting. We've been using those weird curly bulbs for a few years.
When I'm tired headlights look HUGE LOL!
