:) Andy's girlfriend posted on Facebook about hosting a party for one of her clients and they go to the beach. Also she has two grandchildren she is around a lot.

She posted about the party saying she was social distancing. I replied that staying home was social distancing. I also said that if she gets exposed, Andy will be, then I will probably die of Covid.

I am worried but I can't do anything about it. I just try to keep things as germ free as possible. Both Andy and Torre see no problem going to the beach.

I got a call today from my SIL's neighbor saying my SIL is in ICU for her heart again. I am not able to go 300 miles so I will wait until she can use a phone and say a lot of prayers. Jeanie :)

Rose, I guess this means I don't have to give up the heroin, just add it to the Gabapentin.

I ordered some new masks yesterday. The ones I have now leave a gap on each side of my nose. These new ones have the metal tab that you squeeze to eliminate that gap. I'll feel safer. I have cut down on my store trips. Once, maybe twice a month.

I'm doing all I can do to stay safe.

Jeanie, so sorry about your sister-in-law. I hope this turns out alright. I am sorry Torre and Andy are as thoughtless as my SIL and Niece.

Howie, I want some of the mask with the metal tab that you can squeeze. Did you order them from Amazon? Proud of you for doing your part to fight this virus.

I understand that the virus is invisible, but it sure seems to have made some very fine, upstanding people blind to the risks too.

    People are acting crazy!

When the history books are written and young people are learning about the 2020 covid crisis, we are going to look like buffoons.

"But, why wasn't the pandemic contained earlier to save countless more people from dying?", a student will ask.

"Because they didn't want to wear masks or keep a distance between each other. It was too inconvenient", their teacher will reply.

At the end of the week, when the children are given their test about the great pandemic of the 21st century, a 5th grade student will stare down at his test paper.

"Why did covid19 kill hundreds of thousands of people?", the question will ask.

A light will click in the student's eyes as he begins to write.

"Because they were impatient idiots not thinking about their community and unable to see beyond their short term wants", he will write down carefully.
    Well said....frustrating .

You know, I am so isolated in this farm life that I did not realize there was a thin wire to mold the mask around the nose. So I kept complaining that some of my masks would not stay up! A friend looked at my mask and said that I was wearing it upside down...I felt like such an idiot. Anyway, I am using a face shield more and more as it is so much easier to breathe when you have to wear a mask for hours. At the farmers market I wear the shield and have the mask on my lower chin. It works well. The shield is so comfortable I forget I have it on.

The loops that go over your ears have started irritating my ears . I may have posted this already but there are these things called facial mask extenders that connect the loops so they go to the back of your neck and do not irritate the ears.

    Good luck everyone!

Virginia, I ordered them from BulbHead. They are called Air Police masks.

    ((((((Hugs to All)))))) ~

    Jeanie ~

Many prayers on the way for your SIL. I hope that she will be able to have a phone chat with you soon. I know you're worried and wish that you could be there with her. You are in spirit.

I'm sorry that Andy and Torre don't see the magnitude of COVID-19 and its impact upon you and those, who are vulnerable.

Lately, when I've been checking the news periodically, I have watched interviews with physicians and scientists stating that the reason COVID cases are increasing is not because there is more testing. It's because the virus is spreading.

They are also emphasizing that many people, who have COVID-19, are asymptomatic. Today, a doctor, who is on the front line in treating COVID patients in a hospital/ICU said that we should view every person we encounter as potentially carrying COVID-19.

We have to be vigilant about protecting ourselves. Like you've done so many times through hurricanes. Board up the windows, stay inside and ride it out.

    Virginia ~

I'm missing agate too. I hope she will check in soon.

And, just a plea to all ~ check in occasionally, so that we all know how you are, that you are safe and healthy.

Sending prayers and healing energy to all ~

    Love & Light,

    Rose

I have new masks ordered that have the wire where the nose is to make it filter all the air you breath. I wore my old mask today, and you can feel the air rushing by my nose.

And I discovered today, I've lost my key to my mailbox. So I have the yellow pages out, and turned to locksmiths, and will get a new lock, or key, or both. I have a few things ordered that are coming USPS, so it's important I get this fixed.

Everyone have a great night! Sweet dreams!

I'm sorry I've been so busy lately that there just hasn't been much time or energy for posting.

It's annual housing recertification time, and the first interview is today. There needs to be at least one more interview but not until some time in August. Meanwhile, I'll be busy getting the papers together.

And on Wednesday I have another appointment--the dentist this time, an appointment that was scheduled for March but got postponed.

And the neighbor I've mentioned before (who would have been 98 in a few days) left this world on the 23rd.I'll miss hearing from her.

She was a very nice person and sharp as a tack right up to the end. She didn't have the coronavirus--it seems to have been the extreme pain of shingles plus a fall that sent her to the hospital, and then she pretty much stopped eating though the point of her stay in a "post-hospital treatment center" was to build her up.

Well, either the hospital or this other place lost her all-important upper denture, and so all she could eat was pureed food, which she wasn't eating. I'm afraid that without her denture she gave up. Also one of those places lost her all-important cellphone until just a few days before she died. Or they took it away because she was threatening to call the police to get her out of there. Stories differ on what happened about that phone.

Anyway, because she had given me her keys, I'm one of the people dealing with her belongings, which have to be out of the apartment by July 13. In the past when someone dies here, there's sometimes an open house where all the residents can come in and take what they want.

We can't do that this time. They'll be able to come in and take what they want but only one at a time, and by appointment only.

Before that happens, three of us who are involved in this project have to sort through her belongings and make sure personal items get discarded or sent to the daughter.

I'm going to be busier than usual for a couple of weeks but am planning not to overdo. I overdid yesterday and by evening the sciatica was kicking up. Lesson learned.
