Oh...if I could turn you loose for one day around here! I use to clean here all the time, but I just can't do it now. It takes all my energy to run to the store once or twice a week.

Virginia, Howie's offering you a job!

Seriously, the mere thought of glass tables makes me shudder. About 40 years ago I still had a coffee table but it wasn't glass. I got rid of it because I kept tripping over it. I'm glad it wasn't glass.

Your place must be cleaner than clean at this point. Ready for the photographers from House Beautiful to come in--or any of those magazines that feature people's perfect interiors. Sunset Magazine does that too but I think it's only on the West Coast.

Thinking of getting a Roomba for the days my housekeeper angel does not come to help out, to keep the crumbs off the floor in kitchen and dining room.

Opinions? My eldest swears by Roomba.

I had one, and the main problem I had with mine is it used to get stuck under chairs and furniture where there wasn't a solid piece for it to bounce into so it would know when to turn. I had to watch it all the time to get it unstuck.

The poor little thing! Maybe it just needed time to learn how to cope? Some devices are smart like that. Give them time and keep insisting with them, and sooner or later they get it and start behaving better. Is a Roomba like that, do you think?

I've heard mixed things about Roombas. Some really great reports and some like Howie's--not so impressed.

Were you able to return the Roomba for a refund, Howie?

No, I didn't return it, and to tell you the truth, I don't know what I did with it! Maybe it's in a box tucked away somewhere.

:) Save yourself some money. I bought an iLife robot vacuum on Amazon for $140.00. It works great. I close the computer room because it has carpet and desk pads. It has only gotten stuck once in all the time I have had it. I've had it about a year.

It amazes me how much stuff it finds when I empty the basket. I do not run it everyday but the friend who told me about the ILife has hers set to run at 6 AM every day before they get up. It is amazing to watch it find it's base and hook up and start charging.

Kim was fascinated by it when she was here. Jeanie :)

Thanks. Me too. I just saw an ad for a different roomba but forgot who makes it. Let’s check them out on amazon.

My house is cluttered with farm stuff but even if it helps a little it would be something!

I've never even heard of an iLife!! Wow, that sounds like something I need. Thanks.
I wonder if it would scare the cats too much?

:) Lacy does not mind it. She does not get on it but she passes by it at times. Jeanie :)
