Graupel looks like a lot of little styrofoam pellets. The first time I saw it I was struck by how weird it looked.

You all have been busy :)
So jealous of cat people. They look like a perfect pet. Were it not for allergies/asthma to indoor pets, even birds, they would ge a perfect solution to loneliness. And fun...

My indoor plants are a poor substitute!

IVIG was uneventful. What a hard 8 hours every time, sitting amongst very sick people, noisy people...great RN staff. ....no privacyŚ one big open room, for safety reasons though....

Who on here is going to take me in to live with them? Got my house re-evaluation yesterday in the mail. It was valued at more than $54,000 over what it was prior to this. I will not know what the tax is until about August when they send out the notices. But I can tell you it will be high (for me) because this county has very high tax rates.

My apologies to all my Yankee friends on here, but our tax rates were not out of sight until we started getting all the Northerners down here. Now, no one is from this area. Everyone comes from up North. To them this is a way of life I guess.

Gentrification is happening in communities all over the country. The income inequality in this country is going to run the middle class out of many old neighborhoods.

My niece is in San Francisco and that housing situation is unbelievable. In New York Harlem is being gentrified driving away middle class. Same thing in Brooklyn too, I think.

Besides the gentrification issue, many companies are locating in areas of the country where the cost of living is cheaper. These locations can offer lower home prices, taxes ect. . . . at least at first!
Real estate prices are driving Californians away to other states by the thousands, especially young couples who can't afford to buy their first home, even with two full time incomes. I'm sure the masses of people fleeing to other states is driving up real estate prices there. Supply and demand. It's happening across the country. A redistribution of the population? Everyone wants a piece of the pie and go where they can afford it.

Seems like no one is from California either! It's a mobile society these days.
