Well, time for the Grinch to speak up. Christmas, as ALL holidays, has no meaning for me. It's just another day, as everyday is. If you are celebrating the birth of Christ, December 25 is no where close.

And I am a Christian, so Jesus has great meaning for me. But Jesus himself said not to mark his birth, because it was a birth like any other, but to mark his death and resurrection.

Okay, I'm done now. Everyone have a great Christmas. My nephew I think, will bring me a plate of food. I hope so. Merry Christmas all!

Observing the solstice and welcoming the sun back is a very ancient celebration. Whether or not you're celebrating the birthday of Jesus, it seems like a nice idea to bring light and brightness into people's lives at this darkest time of the year--and to let people know you've thought of them.

Smile Merry Christmas everyone. Happy Hanukah!

:) Agate I tried to email you but it says the address I have is no good. Thank you for the card. I stayed in last night and watched midnight mass.

I am still in my pajamas today and plan to stay in them. I have plenty of food. I am not expecting anyone. Jeanie :)

Peter flew in from Boston on a 7 AM flight yesterday. There was heavy ground fog so they couldn’t land and ended up in Cleveland. :-( They got back to Pittsburgh after several hours. The limo driver had been sent home so Peter took an Uber and got to us after 1 PM.

We opened presents, Peter napped and I made a spaghetti dinner w whole wheat pasta and a fresh salad w Christmas-y radishes. We had pumpkin and pecan pies for dessert.

    Alls well that ends well.

    Thumbs up

(singing) "There's got to be a morning after....."

The day after Christmas. I'm having my second mug of coffee, and Sam is napping on my lap. I need to go to the store, but may just wait until tomorrow. I just can't get myself motivated today.

I really can't get myself up and awake lately. But the pain in my back and shoulder get me up to get some Ibuprofen. Then I crawl back into bed, and can go back to sleep occasionally.

Well, everyone have a great day!

Well, I have a brewing UTI. Actually, probably not brewing anymore. I think it is full blown. I am on AZO since last night and will try to get in to get it checked tomorrow before the weekend. A friend is coming by this afternoon and we are exchanging small gifts.

Howie, did your Nephew get to you with Christmas dinner?

No dinner, but I was probably wrong thinking he brought food on both Thanksgiving and Christmas. But I did fix me my usual plate. I have ice cream in the freezer, but haven't had any lately even though Sam has asked me to get some so she can have some. I will tonight.

Bring on the ice cream, Howie! I don't know how much longer Sam can wait.

Looks as if Social Security is paying on the 3rd in January, just FYI, but ice cream doesn't cost much in case Sam needs more in the meantime.

Yeah, I figured it would be on the 3rd. That is NEXT Friday. I have enough money to hit the store one more time. Plus my change jar could be cashed in. That will provide a little extra cash. Always just squeak by!
