I had a message from Ralph, who is coping with record cold there and dealing with more details. He mentioned wanting to put together an online memorial service of some kind for Cat Dancer eventually, after he's less occupied with red tape.

He says Hi to everyone here.

I have his permission to post anything and so here is a photo of the cats that he sent yesterday. That seems to be a mouse toy dangling to the left of the cat in the foreground.

    And there is this:

Joan. You may pass on any of my posts that you see news worthy to others in Brain Talk. I think seeing the E-mails on her computer that you all were a very inspirational group to each other. I can't reach the E-mails on her computer yet. It's at our long time friend's next door. Please excuse my poor grammar & spelling. Without Ann to correct me, & give me the spellings, I have a slow difficult time writing anything. I may send you some pictures of Ann, which you can post for friends on the board. She didn't like her picture taken at all. I would have liked to do it often, but she avoided it. I didn't realize how long(is it 18 yrs) you all were on Brain Talk. I think she went by the handle, Uppity at first. That may have been an earlier MS site.I know she kept up on the medical research on MS, & didn't think much of way out cures, that are mainly supported by testimonials. I'm sure she let everyone know where she stood there, aye? You all probably know more about some of her thoughts then I ever will. She lived on her Kindle & computer. I need to get up now, grab a little breakfast, & decide what to do with last night's 1 1/2 in snow. Take care.

So far as I know it was Cat Dancer and stayed that way for many years but she had been on this board for quite a while before I joined. She may have been Uppity or Uppitycats at that time, and she was Uppitycats on another board for a while.

As I recall, she was Uppitycat on this forum for a time after the forum went down once.

I've been here 20 years and Cat Dancer was here when I arrived!

I'm sure you're right, nuthatch. I've been here only 18 years and Cat Dancer had been here for quite a few years before I joined.

When I reply, I'll mention to him that she was here longer than 20 years. If anyone has any messages for him, I'll gladly include them.

    A new message from Ralph:

Good morning! I'm getting up late today, 8 AM. Smudge cat is purring & walking all over me. I need to get me some breakfast together. It's one of the harder things to do each day. I always fed the cat & Ann before I had my breakfast. I'm still working on some kind of memorial service for Ann. It's looking like the first weekend in December. It'll be a conference call type of service. Ann was so good at these type of things. She could find the right words in a precise & caring way. I'm awkward at this. I need to write up a letter with some of the nice comments I've had in condolence letters from all her friends, like yourself. The weather is going to be above freezing by day for the next 5 days. That should be nice. We had 2 1/2 in snow yesterday, which I removed most of yesterday....Getting a grip on the finances, but still struggling. House clean up is moving slow. Pass on to all the Brain Talk folks whatever you feel they may want to hear. Take care.
