Has your urologist ever discussed the Medtronic InterStim with you as an alternative to medication?

One of our friends has had this device for many years, even had it replaced. It works great for her. Another friend had the device placed, and it wasn't successful.

I have been studying and researching pharmaceuticals my entire adult life, and the fact is that every single pharmaceutical has numerous adverse side effects. They also create adverse interactions with other pharmaceuticals. The more meds we take, the greater the risk of interactions.

From Jim's cancer journey, we have learned that the chemo and immunotherapy drugs to fight cancer can actually cause cancer, among a multitude of other medical issues.

This is the risk we all take when treating any kind of condition. I certainly don't have an answer or solution. The InterStim has its drawbacks and problems too. I just wanted to mention it as another option.

    Love & Light,

Mom to Jon, 49, (seizure disorder; Gtube; trache; colostomy; osteoporosis; hypothyroid; enlarged prostate; lymphedema, assorted mysteries) and Michael, 32, (intractable seizures; Gtube), who were born with an undiagnosed progressive neuromuscular disease and courageous spirits. Our Angel Michael received his wings in 2003. Our Angel Jon received his wings April 2019. Now, they watch over Jim and me.
