Gregory is young and he will find his own way as he gets older. I expect Kristof is a little hard to come behind.

I wonder if the counter for this board is right? It says that there are 249 guests and I can't find even one. As Agate has brought out before, we seem to have tons of people. Where are they?
Virginia, if you look at the Memberlist (in the dropdown menu under Community at the top of the screen) you'll see there are 1,380 pages of registered members, and if you look at the user names, the vast majority of them are probably not real people but bots. Apparently there is no way of culling them off the list. In the meantime those bots must still be registered here and have log-in privileges.

I hope someone from the admin/moderator team will correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I think it is ghost who come in to haunt me when I am on here by myself late at night, or maybe Howie and Sam pulling some magic trick.

That guess about Howie and Sam strikes me as spot on.

Neuro messaged me last night (man he works late) and said it would be IV at home, not subcutaneous infusion. I guess that means an RN would be here all day?

And, how could it be that a home health person can get the IVIG, but the hospital can’t? Is it possible the hospital CAN get it, but its limited to inpatient since its in short supply?

Maybe the home health person hasn't run out of it yet but the hospital has?

Where do home health nurses get their supplies of medicines like infusions? Forgive me for being stupid on these things but I have just never dealt with this. I always thought they worked through a doctorís office and got their supplies by ordering them through the doctor.

If that was true how could the doctor get this if an infusion center can not?

Someone said that the HH orders from a pharmacy that has the ability to scour all the pharmacies nationally and to stockpile it. That hospitals donít stock up on that...how can that be?

:) I wish I were getting IVIG again. I had it years ago when I had silicone poisoning from the reconstruction after cancer. It made me feel a lot better.

Yesterday I stood for one minute and ten seconds and I took four steps! I really am improving even though it is a slow pace. Doing meals is hard but so far I have been able to. Last might I ordered pizza. I won't do that again as it was not tasty.

I can't sit up much longer so will have to come back later or tomorrow. Take care everyone. Jeanie :)

Great news, Jeanie. So happy you are home.

Sunshine, that is puzzling isn’t it? I do want you to get the IVIG but am a little worried about reactions. I’d feel better if you were at the infusion center. Hospitals often “borrow” when something like this happens or they used to. Why can’t they borrow from the home care folk.
