They're trying really hard in the medical profession to cut down on the use of antibiotics. The bugs are developing a resistance to them, and the new "superbugs" aren't getting knocked out by the antibiotics as you probably know. It's really bad news for everyone, and I can see why they're making this effort.

They have found that the antibiotics go on working for a few days after the patient stops taking them, and so they're encouraging patients not to worry if they're still having symptoms even though they've come to the end of the course of antibiotics. "Just give it time" is what they're saying.
All I wanted is a culture. WIll go give a culture tomorrow and wait for 72 hours.

Jeanie it is so very good to Hear your voice again. What a heroic effort you put forth to be here. See you soon again, I hope, and know.

    Jeanie ~

So wonderful to see your post! Thank you for making the effort. I hope it made you feel better inside to connect here, even though it hurt your bum. Healing prayers are always on the way to you. It's been a long, difficult road, but you are making progress, because you've persevered. Stay the course; we're all with you.

About Cat: I checked her profile, and her last visit here was on 5/24. She posted in my thread about Jonathan on 5/20.

This reminds me of a discussion we had here a few years ago about exchanging personal information with another member here, so that an attempt at contact can be made, when someone is absent for awhile.

Howie learned about Peg's passing on Facebook. So, that's another source for updated information.

It's certainly reasonable for everyone to be concerned, when a member is absent for a long period of time. It's the love and care that you all share here for each other that keeps this forum so active and vital.

For those, who may lurk and read, but not post, just a reminder that you will be missed and folks will wonder where you are and what is happening with you. So, even if you don't feel like you have much to say, just stop by and say "Hello, I'm here." You know that you'll always be welcomed with open arms.

It doesn't matter how we become friends, whether it's face-to-face or through the internet. Friendship is bonding and sharing our journeys. That's what we do on BrainTalk. You'll always have a friend here.

    Love & Light,

Dropped off urine this morning for a culture to r/0 UTI. Insisted Doc order culture. Why would a doc resist that?

Tomorrow is June. Who will start the new June thread? It almost seems too sad to think about.

I vote for you too, Sunshine! (You did agree to volunteer, didn't you?)

When I'm getting up at around 7:30 it's already 10:30 for quite a few people here.
