Too bad there wasn't a more enthusiastic response. I agree that if you sign up for an educational cruise, you should definitely take advantage of the education that is being offered!

Some people take a fatalistic approach to something like MS, I think. And until the MS drugs came along, we were prompted to do that by neurologists who said things like "learn to live with it--there's nothing that can be done."

Even then, without any drugs available (other than steroids), there was a lot that could be learned about how to deal with MS.

The board has seemed quiet lately what with both Jeanie Z and Catdancer in rehab.

Today I just collapsed onto the couch around after breakfast. I am so tired of bladder pain, feeling like Iam on a boat in a storm , feeling shaky inside, feeling like its hard to talk, much less participate in conversation, having so many cog and physical symptoms. I just looked at my DH, while I lay on the couch and said, “I just can’t do this anymore” and I sobbed. He was so sweet, put his arm around me, lie down next to me, didn’t try to coach me or talk me out of my feelings, just let me sob and talk...

Seems like we all go through this with these diseases—- I recalla friend going through this in the thick of cancer treatment.

Sunshine, we are on the couch with you.

Peg, I’d like a small plate of that dinner. It sounds so good.

Sunshine, I am so, so sorry you are feeling so hopeless and helpless. Things do get better for you at times, so try real hard to look to those times. This is so much easier said than done. Glad your DH was right there beside you and with you.

Cherie, sorry about the poor turnout for the educational part of the cruise. I would have thought it would be much better given that it was an MS cruise. The poor caregivers who care more about learning how to live with the disease than the people who have it, that is bad. Some may have had a hard time getting to the part of the ship where the educational part took place, and some may have just been having really bad days. So maybe we can give some a little break, but not as many as you indicated.

Glad you and family had an otherwise good time.

Thinking of Cat, has anyone heard anything more of/from her?
Glad we heard from Jeanie again. Thank you, Agate!

No word from Catdancer since her last post here, regrettably. Unless someone is in contact with her?

...I apologize for cluttering up the board with this silly thing but I found it on another site and thought people here might not mind wading through it to the point where you find out where it's going.

A man is driving down the highway and notices a rabbit in the middle of the road. He swerves to avoid hitting it, but unfortunately he hits it. The driver is a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, but he is dismayed to find that the rabbit is the Easter rabbit, and he is DEAD.

He beings to cry and is overcome with emotion. But suddenly a beautiful young woman pulls alongside and asks what is wrong. Then the young woman surprises him by pulling an aerosol can out of her handbag. She sprays it all over the rabbit, who gets up and hops away, and keeps waving, then pausing, then hopping and waving some more, until he is out of sight.

The man is amazed and he asks the young woman to tell him what is in the can. She gives him the can so he can read what it says.

    Here is what it says:

Hair spray, restores life to dead hairs, and adds permanent wave
