Sunshine, I am so glad that you had a pain free day. I hope that dizziness goes away.

Saw the nephrologist today. He wrote new lab orders for the coming year...monthly and quarterly. He is concerned about fluid retention but not so much BP (which is what he is seeing me for). A1C is going up but so is my white blood count so he ordered a urine culture and said if there was bacteria he would write a refillable script for an antibiotic as "you know your body better than we do so you need to be able to jump on the treatment for it."

I feel as if my knuckles are dragging and am having a very difficult time the last few days doing basic things.

Cherie, I hope you can find a solution to the fluid retention problem.

I woke up this morning and the sun is shining strongly....it feels great. Cherie’s comment about feeling like her knuckles are dragging is so perfect a description. I hope we all can get our knuckles off the ground and smile again soon!

    Cool

Hi all! It was pasta day! It's all finished, and all the pots and pans washed, and put away. Now it will simmer, and I'll eat around 5:00. I'm on my third mug of coffee.

    Everyone have a great day!

Yes, Linda I agree. It would be nice if all of us were well and feeling good.

Cherie, sounds as though this Doctor works well with you. Even as a Nurse, giving a prescription for an antibiotic to be filled at your discretion is probably unusual. Glad you have him. I hope you start feeling better soon. Your trip will be so much more pleasurable if you do.

Hi Howie, hope your pasta was good and that you had a good day.

Because of all the rain we've had in Calif. this year, following years of drought, we have had been having what is being called a "superbloom" of wildflowers in various places. Most commonly it's acres of California poppies and lupine, but my brother sent this picture of the wild mustard covered hills taken from his street in San Clemente today. Pretty, but an allergist's dream!

I'm hoping the thousands of poppies that have come up in our front yard will provide us with our own personal superbloom soon.
