I swam 640 yards in 20 minutes: DH took off the cover.

Am trying to use the walker more, less using R2D2 and 10% less lying down cuz I feel like the muscles are trying to atrophy.

Good job you all for your amazing efforts.

Went to Lowes Foods today and got a few things. They didn't have quite everything I wanted. Later went to Harris Teeter and got the rest of it. Met family for dinner and came home.

We went to a pet food store, Dollar Tree and our little Wholefoods. We needed to restock the cat food, buy some St Patrickís and Easter cards, and I wanted mini NY cheesecakes.;-p Lots of walking.

The grocery was mobbed. It was hard to shop because the place is small and the check out lines were down the aisle. We are expecting 8-10 inches of snow tonight. School is cancelled. I surmise this is why it was a zoo today.

I love the snow. I donít drive or shovel.

Ann, this last sentence is why you love it. You don't drive or shovel! I don't blame you. Just stay in and keep warm and enjoy the beauty.

Not driving and not shovelling are good.🏂

Today I swam 20 minutes, 640 yards with no problem ...friend pulled the cover off. I am trying to use the rollator more to keep my muscles flexible and not further atrophy. It helps.

DH put elevated planter box on pool deck. And a tomato plant to start. Will restart my plant hobby outside

The CART research study I'm taking part in (Collaborative Aging Research using Technology) puts out a newsletter with little snippets of their findings, and among them I found this (referring to a graph of the data they've recorded over nearly a year):

... as a group, enrolled participants under the age of 65 took, on average, around 3,500 steps a day (since the time they were enrolled until mid-January). Those between 65-75 took around 2,990 steps and those over 75 took around 1,850 steps. As age increases, the number of steps taken a day decreases.

I figure I take less than 500 per day. Maybe I should count...

Did they exclude w/c bound MSers? I am surprised the number of steps is so big

Today, I had to be in contact with my part D insurance company again about getting my prior authorization for my Rebif and I also put in a follow up call to my Neurologist after e-mailing him last night. I received an answer e-mail this evening. Hopefully, this is now being straightened out.

I also went to the Dentist this afternoon. Good appointment. I let them do x-rays this time and clean teeth and a general check by the Dentist. Well, good trip except for the $247.00 check I had to give them, but I am really not complaining about that either. As long as they find no problems I will be satisfied.

That took care of the day. On the way home I stopped at Panera and got something to bring home for dinner. For Ann: I got a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and 1/2 turkey, bacon blt sandwich. I hadn't gotten this in awhile, so it tasted good. Besides it was too late to come home and cook dinner. Hope I am in until the week-end.
