    ((((((Sunshine))))))) ~

agate and SuzE-Q have excellent suggestions.

You've been in many medical settings for your cataracts, testing, and IVIg. Germs are everywhere, and when your immune system is compromised, you are more vulnerable to infections.

This infection could also be a combination of things, instead of just one culprit.

Augmenten is a broad spectrum antibiotic, generally prescribed to treat respiratory infections and UTIs. A correlation between respiratory infections and UTIs does exist. Both of my sons experienced this, while hospitalized.

Are you scheduled to have cataract surgery on your other eye soon? You might want to reschedule that until your infection clears.

That reminds me ... did you take steroid drops after your cataract surgery? Jim did for a month. That can compromise your immune system. Just a thought.

Sending prayers and positive, healing energy your way ~

    Love & Light,

I got it and one other hospital borne bacteria with my in hospital cystoscopy and it took months of different antibiotics (including IV for 4 months) to knock it out. Also, it can live on the skin of the perineum despite the best hygiene so may be a skin contaminant found to grow out in a urine culture. For that reason, all of my specimens that are cultured now need to be obtained via catheter (self). Sorry to hear this.

My housekeeper comes for 3 hours, twice a month. And is also available at other times, if I call and arrange it. She and her husband come twice a year to wash the outside of windows. She has taken down my curtains, taken them to an industrial sized washing machine, then ironed them. She helps me clean out my pantry once a year. And other chores. I trust her completely. She has a key to my house to let herself in if we're not here. There have been lots of times that either we're not at home, or are heading out the door somewhere when she comes. She does my floors, cleans my two bathrooms, changes sheets and blankets on our beds, dusts, vacuums. I'm real happy with her.

We got another 5 inches of snow overnight, and tomorrow the temperature is supposed to drop to the single digits....

Cat, you are very lucky to have her. I expect it is one of the benefits of living in a rural community.

Will you and Peg ever stop with the snow?
