Thank you for calling Howie. I'm sorry that Howie's computer is broken, but I'm relieved that he's okay.

I'm so glad you got through to him, Peg! I tried to call but got a recording saying his phone isn't in service--I think he keeps it turned off quite often?

So glad that he's OK at least. Computer problems are dismal though.

So, something showed up in a blood test I had. My PCP ordered a bone density test and I sort of ignored what he said and simply agreed to the test. Turned out to be a nuclear bone density test.

I looked that up and realized he was checking for cancer. No cancer. Great. I was pleased my pcp was checking on me. ( I had melanoma many years ago). So, no cancer but 2 broken ribs! “Linda, do you remember falling?” Since I fall on these farm roads all the time I did not know how to answer him! So I said “oh, that must be what hurt”, he looked at me with exasperation and told me to use my walker all the time. He’s not a farmer so I did not know how to tell him that things are not set up that way!

broken ribs hurt.....but mine are healing. Add another new experience to this journey!

So sorry, Linda! Good news not to have cancer though. Rib injuries can be painful and take a while to heal. You're so used to falling that you hardly noticed. People with MS take a beating and even doctors don't always realize it.

I just watched a video on how to do a forward fall. The advice was to put your hands out in front of you, with the palms forward, so that you'll land mainly on the palms of your hands.

The trouble with advice about how to fall the "right" way is that every time I fall, there's never any time for these recommended preparations.

I have not been reading the posts the past day or so, and look at all of what has happened. I will try to keep up. We are all of a certain age, so, things happen fast and furious it seems.

Jeanie, I truly hope that the PT can get started in a timely fashion.

Laz, your humor has not been broken nor has your spirit. But GEESH

    Glad Howie is ok...

To all I missed here, glad to see you again.

The surf crew, 12 total, showed up in force with food, great fun vibe, all excited to get together in our street clothes and warm and dry. It was wonderful to see them. Its been several months since my last surf adventure.

In being with them, I was struck at how much I have lost. I am clearly so sick with SPS and the attendant med SEs which are unavoidable..

This wed, I get my first cataract surgery. It should go fine. Taking a heavy anti spasm dose for it. And, I do like how it relaxes the leg muscles and eliminates pain.

Lots of doc appts this week ...

I felt loved during this lunch ... I must reach out to friends even more and allow them to visit... they want to, I push them away because it is so dam hard to have company. But I need the socializing and the love.

Virginia, might you also allow your friends from meditation come see you now and again?

Hi to all, I've also been MIA for a couple of days. Did not even turn my computer on. Just not feeling well these days, but I have to believe that things will get back on track.

In reading through everything I noticed that Ann has not had much to say.

Agate, thanks for mentioning me in another thread.
