    The barred owl (link in post #49) is active just now, turning around in such a way that at least one owlet was partly visible. Its head was peeking out. I'm sure it can't wait to get out from under the parent who is nearly suffocating it.

    The eagles' nest I looked at just now has that lived-in look. No Marie Kondo tidying up going on here! Old feathers lying around, plus other bits of debris. Better not to know just what it is, maybe.
