    Renee, you know by now that Howie just cannot behave with all these hens on here. I do admit though that he does his best in among all of us.

    I've had to wade through chickens occasionally, and they are pesky. They're always underfoot and nervously picking at everything.

    You have to sympathize with Howie, although there are others here sometimes who would be in the same boat if they were here more often. Hmm. Maybe that's why they're staying away?

    This leads to one conclusion: Howie is very very brave. By being here at all and putting up with the hens, he's proving that he is far more courageous than all of those who are staying away because of the hens.

    Virginia and Agate, thank you for those kind words. Fact is, I love hens, especially when they're cooked right.
