    Yeah. For me the computer is a way to feel more connected to the world due toimmobility issues. You too?
    I so miss just getting in the car and seeing friends with no effort or advance planning.

    I too miss the life I used to have...the freedom I had. I M more and more isolated and life would be much lonelier without this iPad and all the connections I can make to the world because of it.

    I'm a loner by nature, and hate crowds, so indeed the computer is my main way to keep connected with the world. And now that I'm basically housebound, it's the only way...

    I am grateful for anything that gets me contact with my species including the internet, my van and
    my very occasional work that involves contact with kids-newborns to 13 year olds. Even if it just
    for 2 or 4 hours it gives me a high.

    We had some toddlers tonight and realized their pants had 8 inch inseams.
    Without the internet, where could I share that piece of silliness
