Thanks Sunshine, I had forgotten that they used it for RRMS. I feel sure this is what they will give her. As far as I know this is the latest thing out there. Lots of research and different things talked about, but this seems to be all that has been approved for now.

Today I employed my best strategy to swim in the public pool. Timed it with my medication dosing ....Lots of steps in open area are scary but doable. Pool was a warm 81 and I swam 1/2 mile 31 minutes. A muscle stiffening slowed down about two minutes. Then the walking, sitting wet In a freezing cold locker room with lukewarm showers on a pathetic chair.

But it happened! And, I was able to drive easily. .... round two tomorrow.

That’s good news! Sorry they have not improved in any of the deficient areas.

Looks like from some of those days that Agate may have been riding on her broom instead of taking steps. Good going Agate. You had 4 excellent days and 3 really good ones.

Yes, very good Agate plus the cleaning up the water.

Sunshine is usually here early posting her swimming. I hope she’s OK.

I was wondering about Sunshine. It is late for her. She might have IVIg, but she usually lets us know.

Now that it’s cold, I have been swimming mid morning. Just got home, made a cup of coffee and here I be. Good noticing! Agate, those are once again great numbers!!

Howie, yes it counts that you got down on the floor to mop up (see Howies post in OT thread)

Today I swam again in the public pool. 30 minutes, half mile. Then the walking and cold locker room. There was a pool exercise class going next to my lane. A microphone and loud high tempo music. These are not good for Stiff Person Syndrome. I could feel my legs stiffen. But they didn’t spasm.

They put grab bars up in the closest stall.( The stall is too small for one in a wheelchair, but they have a wheelchair stall @30 steps down. ) but they didn’t put a handicap placard on the door of the closest stall, just grab bars. They’ve had a year.

So, someone had commandeered it and was changing in there... not to be mean, just out of ignorance. ...so, sunshine had to use the stall, and finally asked if they were almost done. The person came out, and apologized. Once again I went to staff and reminded them about putting a placard up. By time it’s up, I will be swimming at home, but it will help the next person.
