Default Bad spasm saved me from a shark bite today

Today at 4:15 a.m., 15 minutes before rising to get ready for surfing, I had a horrific spasm in my left shin, ankle. It didn’t respond toattempt to put weight on it, which has worked for small spasms in past.

So, I knew right away this was a serious SPS spasm. It felt wonky in my other leg too.

I took 8mg Tizanidine right away. It stopped spasming 35 minutes later, just as DH was wondering whether to take me to ER. It got so unrelentingly painful, I just wanted to give up.

So, no surfing and no swimming today...

Yesterday, word got out that. 60ish old man at my surf spot, got a serious shark bite between the knee and ankle,...he is in serious condition... who knows? Maybe if I went surfing, i would’ve gotten bitten by a shark.

Sorry for the scary, painful spasm and for having to miss surfing.

I hear you on the blessing in disguise aspect.
