Default Converting to GAD positive SPS

No, we arenít talking about religion here!

A patient at my infusion center has been GAD negative all along, but has Stiff Person Syndrome basednin other tests , history, exam.

As you know, you can have SPS and not have GAD65 positive serum levels.

He now tests positive for GAD65. This is curious.

I know that the GAD numbers vary greatly from patient to patient and within a patient. But didnít know one could convert from GAD negative Stiff Person Syndrome to GAD positive.

I do see here that fleeting GAD65 is common. Perhaps that is one reason my doc measured my GAD many times the first 12 months
