Sounds frustrating and exhausting for both Howie and Cherie.

Somebody asked about Safelite: the technician was supposed to come to install the new windshield 'between 8 and noon". Around 9:30 we got a call: "this is the safelite guy. I was getting ready to come to your house and checked to see I had everything...And they sent the wrong part! So I'm going over to another location to get the right one. I p!an to be there at 2:30"

it was 3:30 when he showed up. Once here, it took about 45 minutes itself actually do the work. We were told not to wash the car or drive above 50 mph for at least two hours, to let the glue set. $350 ,later, he was gone..... So other than the scheduling issue all is well...

I am surprised we have not heard back from Howie about the battery issue. That is not like him.

I fell asleep yesterday for most of the day. When I woke up, it was dark outside, and for a little while, I wasn't sure what day it was. But I stayed up until 2, then went to bed and slept until just awhile ago.

When I woke up, I said, "I'm going to call Advance, and tell them the trouble I'm having with the battery. They said bring it by after 12, and they would put it in. Problem solved.

I think it was Jeanie who suggested that very thing. I don't remember what I got, but was told they can't install it for me. Well, they can install batteries I guess. That will really take a lot off my mind.

Congratulations on shedding the cast! It does take a while to get back the use of your hand and arm, I remember. At least mine was weak and floppy from being in the cast but with time the strength and mobility did come back.
