    Oh, no, Jendie. How awful.
The accident sounds painful. The recovery period sounds like it promises to be boring.

I agree that re-enrolling in the class at a later time is a good option.

Nuthatch, you do have cute grandkids.

    Cool

Good morning all! My car battery is used up after 13 years. I luckily, after several tries, got the car started, and went to buy a new battery, but leaving the car running while I went in and got it.

I came home with the new battery, and took both cables off the battery, so now all I need to do is lift it out, and put in the new.

Well, after wearing myself out trying to get it to lift out, I can slide it left and right, but it will not lift out. I can't figure out what's holding it. I looked in my owner manual and it says nothing about any trick to get the battery out.

I'm worn out, and I have a headache. I'll try tomorrow, but I do have to go to the bank to put money in so I can pay my insurance by Friday.

This day can only get better than it's been so far. Have a great day all!

Howie, does that owner manual have a phone number a person can call or a Website URL? That kind of problem makes me so angry that I tend to get right on the phone or the Internet with anyone who might have an answer. Hope you can solve this.

Agate, I'll try again tomorrow. So I switched from car batteries to pasta. It's all done, and can simmer for awhile. I made coleslaw this morning first thing, so it's all downhill from here. I think I'm going to get a nap. I haven't gotten much sleep the last few days.

I went to bed early the other night, and was up at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep. Then last night, I stayed up until 2, then was up at 8. Maybe this pasta will make me sleep better. I used elbow macaroni and ground beef this time.

Howie, so sorry about your problem with the battery. I hope you are able to find out how to get it out with maybe just a phone call. Frustrating!!!

The lady who helps me in the house has not been since May 8th. She first said her allergies were bothering her. I thought she would be here today and when she had not arrived by one o'clock I called her and she hurt her foot in a fall and is on crutches. She says she will be back next week. I hope so.

:) Howie the pace you bought the battery would probably install it for you. They also dispose properly of old batteries. If you can get it started again with the old battery and go there. Jeanie :)

Jendie glad you are on the mend.

Howie those suckers are not light to lift. Hope you are able to move it without injury to self.

Drove a total of 5 and a half hours today to get laptop traded. Turned out there was a tiny metallic foreign body in the power receptacle on the side of the screen (tech pried it out with a bent paper clip) and we were able to get it charging in the store so no charge. I could not extend the warranty. I am totally wiped out tonight.

    Cool

I went to bed at midnight, and here I am at 4:30 having my first mug of coffee. I didn't take my sleep med because I felt sleepy without it, but didn't get more than my new norm of 4 hours sleep.

The battery stays on my mind, and doesn't help. I'm going to go out early, and see how it goes. I have to get gas, and go by the bank to deposit money instead of getting it out. And by the store.

    So sleep well sleepyheads.
