Large volume multilevel epidural blood patch.

    Hello there,

I had a Large Volume Multilevel Blood Patch done today. They injected 120ml through 6 different epidural sites.

The pain and pressure in my low back is SUPER INTENSE and is getting worse now that the freezing is wearing off. BUT, on a positive note, the head pressure and ‘wave’ pulsing sound and muffled feeling I had is GONE!! The headache has improved but is not completely gone yet, but some improvement is better than no improvement.

My million dollar question is, what is the recovery for a blood patch like this? Is it the same as a regular blood patch? At what point would one be ready to return to work? I am not in any hurry and refuse to move for at least the next few days, I am just wondering what I should be telling my employer when it comes to my RTW. I wasn’t given any instructions last time except to stay horizontal for the day of the patch and then no bending or twisting for a couple days. But that one failed so I REALLY don’t want that to happen again!!

Thanks in advance to you ALL for the support over the last couple days!!!
