And here in central Wisconsin it has been a lovely day -- sunny, light breeze, 49 degrees an hour ago when I came in with the week's groceries. More like the end-of-March weather. There are still 3 weeks left in the month -- and we've had snows up through the beginning of April, so there's still time! -- but it feels like an early Spring, maybe!! And the Sandhill Cranes are back, and the Cooper's Hawks that have lived on our property for the 20 years that we've been here are calling out to each other. Baby Coopers in the works, I'm sure! :)

    Cool

Virginia, I have a tin roof of this place, and it sounded like a few NBA teams were playing a game on my roof at times. I saw there were gusts of 60mph winds at times. I'll go out and look for damage tomorrow.

Today Howie's been spending money, probably, without noticing the wind.

The trees around here are most definitely showing signs of green. The weather isn't changing from rainy and windy. The other day a cat was walking along the fence for a very long time. Most cats don't attempt it, and the ones that do wobble and get down pretty fast. Raccoons on the other hand are excellent fence walkers and can parade along the entire length of this very long fence. This cat must have been partly raccoon for it stayed on it for at least 5 minutes--some kind of a record.

I'll bet Sam could handle that fence. She's stretched out on my leg, and no movement seems to bother her!

It is a noisy storm, for sure, Howie. Wind gusts are almost constant and up to 90 mph on the Cape and Islands. I don't know what they are here besides scary. We've had 1.7 inches of rain since this started last night.

We have everything we need and power is on and water is staying out. I'm grateful for that.

I am hoping Vicky checks in and Linda. Linda may have gotten some snow.

I'm here. It's been very windy and the lights flickered a few times but I haven't blown away. Yet. Snow isn't expected until next week. No doc appts for 2-1/2 weeks. I can live with that.

I went out to mailbox tonight - first time out of the house since last Sunday. The wind was blowing really hard and it was very cold, but I finally wanted my mail. I got it Tuesday when my maid came and got it for me. Actually, Tuesday I could have gotten it because this weather had not gotten here yet.

Everyone stay safe. I use to like the sound of rain on the roof, but not wind. Howie try to pretend it is rain and cozy up with Sam.

After listening to news I realized that Vicky and Linda might have some problems. Hope not.

Glad to know you're not in danger, and a long time without doc appointments is good in so many ways.

Virgina, why have you been in for 5 days. I don't think that is usual for you. I hope you are OK.

It's 4 AM. I woke up an hour ago and couldn't get back to sleep. I'm in the living room w Lily Cat. There is wind up high but mainly calm. No rain. Planes are flying again and I hear birds.
