    Itís nice to know a preeminent university is doing research on Stiff Person Syndrome. Sounds like the research is very basic at this point.

    I regret to say I am not a fan of J Hopkins. They almost killed my Mom when I was young 50 Yr.'s ago by giving her Penicillin It WAS in her chart that she was Allergic- My Dad, being a Hospital administrator, could not do anything - It would have been Political suicide to sue as far as his job - Fortunately She survived, I hope they are doing better now.

    How terrible. Truly terrible for you and your family. And your mom.
    It brings home the point that no matter how good a medical facility is, we have to constantly be vigilant for mistakes. Not that vigilance can prevent mistakes, and surely could not have prevented what happened to your mom. but maybe prevent some mistakes.
