This morning I swam 1/3 mile 20 minutes. Yesterday I got the Shingrix shot and was achey most of the night, cutting sleep short. So it was particularly nice to tolerate the swim, since I love being in water....

Yesterday I stripped the wax off one of my surfboards. It looked very gnarly and not quite bumpyenough. I was pleased to be able to do this in the shady garage before it got hot, in two separate sessions of work, seated

Now, I must apply fresh wax, which is much more time consuming. Likely I will do it over many days. It’s my back up board. Will do it mostly seated. It’s a 9’ board, so it takes a lot of wax to make it sing.

Again swam 20 minutes 1/3 mile. And spent 15 minutes waxing my surf board...about 10% of it.

Today I swam 606 Yards 20 minutes. Over 1/3 mile. Then I waxed my board for 10 minutes and then packed up a carton. So far so good. Shoes now feel heavy which means the shin muscles are not pulling their weight.

At 4 a.m. I had an ankle spasm, turning ite foot inward. It settled down after about 15”. Scary cuz you never know if it will spread.

So, intrepid, or stupid, I swam at 7 a.m. for 20 minutes, 606 Yards, and waxed my board for a few minutes. Ran an errand and a doc visit. That should be it for the day.

I went surfing today! It was a bit choppy and the ocean a bit cooler, but no matter. The waves were knee to waist high and gentle. A bit raggedy, and sometimes hard to catch. But I did catch a handful of fun rides, and mainly loved being on the ocean amongst good friends and fun loving people.

This morning I swam 1/4 mile, 15 minutes, and then stopped to prevent spasm.
Then, we walked inside the new house to see the progress. It was good to notice how long I was able to walk around the house without having to sit down,....maybe the post- Shingrix changes are persisting, albeit not as good as day one.
