    Very good article.thanks for posting. I have found that in the beginning of my chronic illness there were many people supporting me. But year after year the people and the support disappeared. Well, maybe it is that I disappeared...into my MS. It is hard to stay on intimate terms with someone who needs so much but needs different understandings on different days. Nothing in a pattern and nothing in concrete to get a handle on. More like quicksand. For your friend and for you.
