Default Tell about Your Stiff person challenges

My SPS challenges are much more than my MS challenges.

Muscle stiffening when feeling anything but calm and monotone greatly impacts quality of life.

Standing for more than a minute creates such pain in the shins and ankles, where my main problems are, that I frantically look for a seat in public. I choose places based on the length of walk, and whether there is a seat by the cashier.

Grocery 7.00 a.m., and I am there at opening to get one of their few motorized wheelchair carts and to avoid crowds.

I have few symptoms after about 6 hours of sleep, but also between 3:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. so I go to bed early so as to be able to be awake during that time.

Work is out of the question. If I do more than @3thimgs in a day, I suffer . So, a good day is swim, grocery store, cook and clean up dinner. If anything else is necessary like a doc visit, something has to give.

Driving is limited to 30minutes each way.

Hope it others with Stiff Person Syndrome will See this forum and post their challenges.
