Default Keep on Moving Club: Nov. 2017

MS creates some real challenges to keep on moving. It helps to inspire each other on how to find ways to move.

Did you stretch in your bed, swing your arms, roll side to side today? Or perhaps you did housework? Or exercised in a pool? Tracked your count of steps? Chased your cat around the home? Pushed the wheelchair wheels with your arms at the store? Post them here and we can support and egg each other on.

ANN, have you considered getting a wheelchair at the airport to cut down on the walking?

Ann, I was wondering the same thing as Agate. These big airports are extremely hard to navigate.

Plus, if you request transport when you by ticket, they assign a guy to push you everywhere you need from the airport entrance to gate, back to car etc. and you are pushed to head of security line,( a def boon for me since I can’t stand more than a couple of minutes)

We haven't thought about a wheelchair for the airport but we were noticing that we saw none of those carts (that take about 4 people) in Boston or Pittsburgh. And Pittsburgh has one big terminal w wings. Boston, is separate buildings, still big.

That’s the beauty of asking for transport when you buy ticket. They show up with a transport chair and zoom you everywhere .

I swam 1/4 mile today at county pool. Resting now to stop. The twitching.

I plan to go surfing tomorrow. The forecast looks terrible. Know but still go. (A riff on the popular surf saying of know before you go)
