I went surfing this morning just after sunrise. They don't have the wheelchair available early enough to get to paddle out before sunrise, and as the sunrises. This I miss greatly. I used to arrive before dawn, and watch as the sun began to break the horizon. Its a special, mystical time of the day, especially on the ocean.

Sometimes I would paddle out on smaller days, about 10 minutes before sunrise. It was so gorgeous and peaceful . Even though I knew that sharks like to feed at sunrise and sunset, occasionally I would take the chance anyway. It was just too beautiful to pass up on those days. Usually, though, i would just stand there and absorb the peace an beauty.

The ocean was chaotic, knee to chest high waves. Lots of shifting rip currents and sideshore currents. It looked like it could spell trouble for my legs , so I stayed on the inside already broken and reformed waves with my friend. When I take whitewater, i stay prone on the board. I need the gravity and speed of coming down the wave face to stand up. Its like someone is pushing you up from behind.

So many special things happened today. I was glad to be there to experience them. One of the locals confided to me that his son died a few months ago. It was very moving to listen to him, to connect with him. Iime stood still as he spoke.

There were two poachers stealing turtle eggs, against the law in Florida. the other gal with MS called the authorities to bust them.

(No good deed goes unpunished as they say. I experienced foot spasms later on at home. Took an extra Tizanidine and it seems to be subsiding. Grateful)

BBS, what a morning. You are so smart. You lived a full day doing something wonderful before I even got up today.

Same here Virginia, it was after 1pm before I got up today. But it was making up for the lack of sleep the night before, payday. I should be caught up on sleep now, but I haven't eaten yet today. I will shortly. And my clocks are set already so I did do something useful today.

Spring forward, fall back! But don't take that literally. No more falling!

Today was MIL's house and shopping. So I went to her house and had tea (no coffee in that house); went to lunch; shopped at Trader Joe's and then came home. Poor Peter had 3 more stops w her and second tea!

At home, I did a load of sheets and emptied the dishwasher. That was all I could do today.

Quite a lot Ann. Just going to MIL's and then lunching out and shopping at Trader Joe's is a lot. Then on top of that you did some washing and emptying the dish washer. Pretty good day I would say. Hope you worked in a little chocolate. As I recall Agate sent you some fudge, but it didn't have nuts. I would prefer nuts also, but if she had sent me any even without I would eat it all.

You did good today! I finished a book I was reading. Oh well, at least I enjoyed it.

Thanks for appreciating the fudge, Virginia. I'm not sure ANN thought it qualified as chocolate. It looked like chocolate fudge to me but to chocolate purists it may not be the same as pure chocolate.

    Cool

That's because there were no nuts in it. Let me have some and then you can say there are nuts in it!
