Smallest cyst size to have caused sudden death less than 1cm

Hi all:

I've read that sudden death has not been reported as having been caused by colloid cysts measuring less than 1 cm. For instance, the article at the following states:

Since the majority of cases of acute deterioration and death are due to CCs of the third ventricle, the authors suggest that surgical resection should be carried out on diagnosed CCs measuring over 1 cm, because sudden death has not been reported as having been caused by colloid cysts measuring less than this dimension.

I think that this should be revised to "approximately 1 cm or larger" because I discovered the following article (which appears to be a reply to the editor of a 91 article) at http://thejns.org/doi/abs/10.3171/jn...ournalCode=jns which states:

In one neuropathological report of three cases of colloid cyst causing sudden death, a 34-year-old patient died with a 1.3-cm cyst, a 32-year-old died with a 0.9-cm cyst, and a 23-year-old died with a 1-cm cyst.

So .9 cm is "approximately 1 cm or larger" but is not over 1 cm.
